White Birch Communities - Changes!

White Birch is in constant growth, which benefits the lives of the staff and residents alike; every decision we make is for the good of the residents we serve, and the effects of these changes are reflected throughout our facility. It has been a little while since our last post, but there is no better way to breathe new life into a blog than to announce some changes present throughout our community that have taken place this past year! We have a lot of changes to talk about, so let’s get right to it.

New Administrator

Our former administrator, Denny Hughes, was recently promoted to Executive Director of the facility and replaced by his sister, Mandy Crider, who took over the role. Her job is to ensure that all facility related duties run smoothly, and matters regarding the residents are handled quickly, as she is also a Registered Nurse.

Business Development Specialist

If you recently visited the “Our People” section of the website, you may have noticed some adjustments and additions; the latest addition to our team is our Business Development Specialist, Christie Johns. Her job is to promote White Birch and inform the community of what our unique facility has to offer! Her job duties include updating social media, representing White Birch at events, hosting open houses, updating the blog (yes, it is me writing this.. It’s nice to meet you!), and so much more behind the scenes.

Suites

Our White Birch Assisted Living facility has added two new, suite style rooms to our facility! These rooms are perfect for couples who are making the transition to assisted living hand-in-hand, or those individuals who prefer to more space to live. These rooms feature a kitchenette (complete with a refrigerator and microwave), private bathroom, bedroom, and a living room area to sit and enjoy the view of our outdoor areas.

Activities Center

We’ve moved!! Our activities center, that is. Previously, the activities were held in the large activity room near the front of the building, right across from the television room. To respond to the growing participation in activities, we have moved the center down the hall, which places it in the same space as the library, exercise room, family room, and beauty salon. Residents now have the chance to reach many of their amenities all in one, convenient space!
